Pink Tree Wedding Wear Soiree
The Pink Tree Company recently launched its wedding wear collection 'Chandni Begum' amidst the movers and shakers of fashion, art and media disciplines in the perfect backdrop of Koel Cafe in Karachi.
Like
the name, the collection also evokes images of an era synonymous with elegance,
refinement and intricacy--hallmarks of the Ganga-Jumni civilisation.
Elaborately worked "doashalas", multi-colored tie-dye organza
dupattas, traditionally cut farshi ghararas and dhaka pyjamas stood out as the
testimony to The Pink Tree’s sophisticated attention to detail and deep
understanding of eastern couture. Splendid patterns in zardozi spoke volumes of
intricacy poured into the collection. The ambience at reflected The Pink Tree
philosophy of being a sensory experience as candles from the Karachi Candle
Company lent a soft glow spreading heady fragrance of motiya and chambeli;
carefully curated play list of songs from Muslim socials like Pakeeza and Umrao
Jaan played in the background and clothes peeking out from an old closet as an
art installation. It all transported senses to a home wedding feel turning the
event into a scene from one of the good old' PTV plays--- the only difference
was, instead of black & white, it was a riot of colours like a brides'
dreams.
